Vishal Bhatt - FCA India and FCCA UK

(Founding Partner)

Vishal qualified as a chartered accountant in India in 2004. Prior to graduating from the University of Mumbai with a degree in accountancy and economics, he was involved in his father's practise in South Mumbai.

He joined his father's audit department as a trainee and quickly became involved in some large charity and corporate audits. Due to his family's love for the profession, he believes he could not have exhaled in any other profession except accounting and auditing. Vishal's uncles and their sons are all accountants, and his grandfather was the founding president of the Bombay Chartered Accountant Society.

He wanted to broaden his accounting and auditing expertise after working in the practise for six years, so he earned a degree in International Financial Reporting and Auditing Standards and passed his ACCA exams in 2009. Since then, he has worked with some of the top firms, honing his skills in the fields of statutory, internal, and systems auditing, and he has extensive experience dealing with audits ranging from £20 million to £300 million in turnover.

Vishal's clients have come from a wide range of industries, including information technology, manufacturing, and logistics. Vishal also served on the ACCA's Harrow Network member's panel for two years before stepping down due to a work commitment. Vishal spends most of his free time reading technical articles to broaden his knowledge or making sure he doesn't miss any of her daughter's or son's gymnastics or football practises.

Yash Mehta

(Audit Support Team: - Manager)

Yash oversees the firm's back-office audit team, which assists the Partners in completing audit files to the high standards required by the FRC and ACCA. Yash is well-versed in international auditor standards such as UK GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS (Indian Accounting standards).

Yash is eager to begin his ACCA journey after passing his India Chartered Accountancy exams.

Geeta Morgan

(Audit Consultant)

Geeta is a qualified FCA, CTA & Member of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and also a fellow of International Compliance Association. She has nearly 20 years PQE and is an experienced Financial Services Audit Director/Partner RI with an excellent track record of developing new business. Geeta’s most recent portfolio as an RI, totals £1.7m. She is experienced in working with clients as RI within Banking, Retail, Fintech, Hotels, Restaurants, Pharmaceuticals, online trading companies, Securitisation, Real Estate, Investment Managers and Funds etc. Geeta is technically proficient in both UK GAAP and IFRS, was a key liaison with the FRC and drives both quality and technical standards with her portfolio. She was both a Director RI and Head of the Banking Division within MHA in London and Audit Partner and part of technical team at BKL LLP . Her recent audit file review from the external reviewer Mercia got a file grading of A for one of her large audits and was also subject to QAD (regulatory) inspection last year view with no review comments given to her file.

Ruhi Jain

(Payroll Consultant)

Ruhi has been with the firm since the inception of BLS Burnells in 2016. She is a key member of our accounts and tax team. On a monthly basis, she ensures that all account and tax deadlines are compiled. She and her team will create a list of jobs with deadlines and assign them based on their filing dates.

Ruhi has assisted in the training of juniors and students on work placements. Ruhi is very approachable and ensures that all trainees who join us meet their learning objectives on time.

Binola Bhatt

(Office administration)

Binola graduated with honours from Mumbai University and relocated to London in 2005. She began working part-time for a local business consultancy firm in their office administration department because she had a young family.

She has returned to work now that her children have grown. Binola typically assists the team with a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks, such as scanning correspondence, completing VAT returns, and learning to process payroll under Ruhi's supervision. She's been an excellent addition to the team.

Jeetendra Agrawal

(Finalist in Chartered Accountancy program)

I am currently a finalist in the Chartered Accountancy program. With over six years of experience in the Accounting and Auditing field, I have gained valuable knowledge and skills. During my time as an article, I focused on Direct and Indirect taxation, further enhancing my expertise. Throughout my career, I have successfully conducted over 100 audits in various areas such as Internal audit, statutory audit, and Tax Audit. Additionally, I have completed more than 20 audits for Public listed companies and effectively handled legal notices. In India, I owned my own practice and served over 350 clients. Simultaneously, I have had the opportunity to work as an Audit Manager for a prestigious organization, further expanding my professional experience. Currently, Audit and Accounts senior at BLS Burnells LLP, where I am working on larger clients and gaining knowledge of UK laws and regulations. Apart from my professional pursuits, I have a passion for traveling, immersing myself in new cultures, and meeting new people.
